| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Nerva facing right, draped at the shoulder, rendered in the naturalistic portrait style characteristic of Flavian-era engraving. The emperor's aged features are rendered with individualistic realism, reflecting the veristic tradition of Roman portraiture. The encircling legend reads IMP NERVA CAES AVG P M TR P COS III P P, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with the portrait centrally placed in the field. Strike is moderately well-centered with some softness at the edges. |

The figure is rendered in a slim, elegant style typical of Nervan reverse iconography. The legend FORTVNA AVGVST is distributed in the field to the left and right of the deity. The reverse flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with hammered production at the Rome mint. No exergue line or mint mark is present. |
