Reverse description The personification of Salus, goddess of health and welfare, depicted draped and seated left upon an ornate throne with decorated legs. In her extended right hand she holds a patera, while her left arm rests naturally against the side of the throne. The figure is rendered in the classical Roman style with careful attention to the drapery folds. The reverse legend SALVS appears prominently in the field, identifying the divine personification.
