Obverse lettering NERONI CLAVDIO DRVSO GERM COS DESIGN
(Translation: Of Nero Claudius Drusus, conqueror of the Germans, consul elect.)
Reverse description The reverse features the four-line inscription EQVESTER ORDO PRINCIPI IVVENT arranged within a double-line circular border or shield motif (clupeus), centered in the field with a pellet at center. Above the circular frame, a small object — likely a shield or wreath — is visible at the top of the field. The legend commemorates the honor bestowed upon the young Nero by the equestrian order, proclaiming him Prince of Youth. The lettering is bold and well-spaced, rendered in the crisp epigraphic style of Claudian-era Roman coinage. The plain flan shows characteristic surface wear and flow lines from the hammered striking process.
