| Obverse description | Bare head of Jupiter Ammon facing right, rendered with the distinctive hybrid iconography of the Greco-Egyptian deity: bearded, with a ram's horn curling behind the ear, and the hair rendered in thick, voluminous waves. The effigy fills the flan with bold, high-relief modeling characteristic of late Republican military coinage. The surrounding Latin legend arcs around the portrait, reading M•ANTO•COS•III•IMP•IIII, identifying Mark Antony by his titles. The field is plain and the coin is bordered by a ring of dots. |
