| Reverse description | A legionary aquila (eagle standard) with spread wings faces left at center, flanked on either side by a signum (military standard) surmounted by a wreath and a hand atop a staff. Each standard bears a series of phalerae (disc decorations) along its shaft. The legend LEG·VI is inscribed in the lower field between the standards. The entire design is contained within a border of dots, affirming the identification of the Sixth Legion honoured by this issue. |
