Obverse description A praetorian galley (warship) sailing to the right occupies the central field, depicted with oars extended below the hull, a mast, and a scepter tied with a fillet (ribbon) mounted prominently on the prow. The vessel is rendered with fine detail typical of the Antonian legionary series, emphasizing its naval military character. The encircling legend ANT·AVG III·VIR·R·P·C is inscribed in Latin along the periphery, identifying Mark Antony as augur and triumvir for the restoration of the republic. The entire design is contained within a border of dots.
