Obverse description Helmeted head of Roma facing right, wearing an elaborate crested helmet adorned with multiple feathers rendered in fine parallel lines, with wavy locks of hair visible beneath. The bust is bare-shouldered with a bead necklace. The denomination mark X (denarius mark) appears in the lower right field. The portrait is executed in a confident, late-Republican style with strong facial modelling and detailed headdress.

Reverse description Sol, the sun god, driving a quadriga at full gallop to the right, his draped figure holding a whip and the reins, with radiate crown visible. Three six-pointed stars and a crescent moon are scattered across the upper field, emphasising the celestial theme. The moneyer's abbreviated name MN·AQVIL appears in the lower field in two lines, with ROMA below. The dynamic composition fills the flan with considerable energy, characteristic of the late Roman Republican die-cutting tradition.
