| Reverse description | Concordia, the personification of harmony, is depicted seated to the left upon a high-backed throne, rendered in draped attire with finely incised drapery folds. In her extended right hand she holds a patera, and her left elbow rests upon a cornucopia, symbolising abundance alongside concord. The legend TR POT COS II arcs across the upper field, while CONCORD appears in the lower exergual area below the figure. The composition is typical of the Hadrianic allegorical reverse type, emphasising dynastic legitimacy through civic virtue. |
