Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Juno Moneta facing right, her hair elaborately rendered in fine ridged waves gathered at the nape, with a small earring visible at the ear. The legend MONETA runs vertically to the left of the bust in the field, with S•C (Senatus Consulto) to the lower right. The portrait is rendered in a confident late-Republican style with fine detail in the drapery folds at the truncation. A border of dots frames the entire design.
