| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Juba II facing right, portrayed in Hellenistic royal style with finely rendered curly hair and a diadem tied at the back with flowing ribbons. The king's features are idealized, reflecting the artistic influence of the Roman court in which he was educated.
