| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped bust of Hadrian facing right, rendered with characteristic short curly hair and full beard, executed in the refined naturalistic portrait style of the Antonine period. The effigy displays considerable sculptural depth, with strong facial features and detailed hair treatment typical of late Hadrianic coinage. The encircling Latin legend reads HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, distributed around the periphery of the flan. A border of dots frames the design. |
