| Obverse description | Right-facing laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian, rendered in high relief with a full beard, characteristic of his portraiture from AD 119 onward. The effigy displays the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder, visible at the base of the bust. The encircling legend is distributed around the periphery of the field, and the flan exhibits the irregular, slightly uneven edges typical of early second-century hammered Roman silver coinage. |
