Reverse description The personification of Indulgentia, draped and seated left upon a throne or chair, extends her right hand in a gesture of clemency or beneficence while holding a long vertical sceptre in her left hand. The figure is rendered in a serene, classical style with drapery falling across her lap and legs, her feet resting on a low footstool. The reverse legend is distributed around the field, with COS III appearing in the lower exergual area, the whole enclosed within a beaded border.
