Reverse description Minerva, goddess of wisdom and warfare, depicted standing left in full figure, helmeted and clad in flowing robes. She extends a thunderbolt in her right hand and holds a grounded spear in her left, with a large round shield resting at her feet to the lower left. The goddess is rendered in a stately, frontal contrapposto pose characteristic of Hadrianic reverse iconography. The abbreviated consular legend COS III appears in the field, divided to either side of the figure.
