Reverse description A standing female figure, representing the combined allegory of Aequitas-Moneta, depicted in full length facing left, draped in a long stola and paludamentum. She extends her right hand forward holding a balance (scales), the attribute of Aequitas symbolising equity and fairness, while her left arm cradles a large cornucopia, the attribute of Moneta evoking abundance and the wealth of the mint. The figure is rendered with fluid drapery folds in the classical style. The field legend COS III appears distributed to either side of the figure.
