Obverse description Bare-necked, laureate head of Emperor Galba facing right, rendered in a realistic portrait style characteristic of late Julio-Claudian and early Flavian coinage. A small globe appears at the base of the neck truncation, symbolizing imperial dominion over the world. The surrounding circular legend reads IMP SER GALBA CAESAR AVG, distributed around the full perimeter of the coin. The portrait exhibits the aged, strong-jawed physiognomy typical of Galba's numismatic likeness, with clearly articulated laurel wreath. The flan is slightly irregular, as is common for hammered silver coinage of this period.
