| Reverse description | A distyle temple facade, identified as the temple of Jupiter Libertas, is depicted in frontal elevation with two divine figures standing within the intercolumniation. The figure at left holds a staff in the right hand, while above the figures a thunderbolt appears on the left and a pileus (freedman's cap) on the right, emblems of Jupiter and Libertas respectively. The moneyer's name legend C•EGNATIVS•CN•F CN•N is distributed in the exergue and right field, recording the moneyer's filiation. A control-numeral appears behind the temple figures. The composition is enclosed within a border of dots. |
