Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in typical Flavian portraiture style with characteristic physiognomic detail. The emperor's neck is bare, presenting a strongly modelled profile. The encircling legend reads IMP CAES DOMITIANVS AVG P M in Latin capitals distributed around the coin's periphery. The die work displays the bold, confident engraving characteristic of early Domitianic silver coinage struck at Rome. The flan shows slight irregularity at the edges, consistent with hand-hammered production of the period.
