Obverse description Laureate head of Domitian facing right, rendered in high relief with characteristic strong facial features typical of Flavian portraiture. The emperor's effigy displays a wreath of laurel leaves encircling the head, with fine engraving of hair visible beneath. The portrait is set within a beaded border, with the imperial legend arranged around the periphery of the flan. The style reflects the confident, authoritative portraiture of Domitian's early reign following his accession in AD 81.
