| Reverse description | A military trophy or emblematic scene occupies the central field, consistent with RIC II.1 #267 reverse types issued during Domitian's tenure as Caesar under Titus. A small figure, likely a captive or military standard bearer, appears at the base of the central motif, flanked by decorative vegetal or trophy elements. The encircling legend PRINCEPS IVVENTVTIS, identifying Domitian as Prince of the Youth, runs around the periphery. The reverse is struck on an irregularly shaped flan with slight flatness in areas, typical of Flavian-era hammered silver production at the Rome mint. |
