| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Domitian facing right, depicted with characteristic Flavian portraiture. The effigy shows the emperor's head and neck in profile, crowned with a laurel wreath as a symbol of imperial authority. The circumferential legend runs around the periphery of the flan in incuse Latin capitals. The flan exhibits the characteristically irregular, slightly convex shape typical of hammered silver denarii of the early Flavian period. |
