(Translation: Imperator Caesar Domitianus Augustus Germanicus, Pontifex Maximus, Tribunicia Potestate Octava. Supreme commander (Imperator), Caesar, Domitian, emperor (Augustus), conqueror of the Germans, high priest, holder of tribunician power for the eighth time.)
Reverse description The goddess Minerva depicted advancing to the right in a dynamic martial pose, clad in a long tunic and aegis, brandishing an upraised spear in her right hand while bearing a round shield on her left arm. Her helmeted head is turned in profile to the right. This type of Minerva advancing is one of the most frequently employed reverse designs of Domitian's coinage, reflecting his particular devotion to the goddess as his divine protectress. The surrounding legend in Latin capitals records Domitian's imperial salutation, consular, censorial, and paternal titles.
