Reverse description The goddess Minerva depicted in full figure, helmeted and clad in flowing drapery, striding vigorously to the right in her role as divine patroness of Domitian. She brandishes an upraised spear in her right hand while carrying a large round shield on her left arm, emblematic of her martial aspect. The figure is rendered with confident engraving, the drapery falling in dynamic folds about her striding legs. The reverse legend encircles the design within a beaded border, recording the emperor's imperial acclamations, consulship, and censorial title. The open field behind the figure is unadorned.
