Reverse description The goddess Minerva is depicted standing left in full martial attire, helmeted and wearing a flowing aegis-adorned garment. She extends her right hand forward brandishing a thunderbolt, while her left hand holds an upright spear. A large round shield rests at her side near her feet. The composition reflects Domitian's well-documented devotion to Minerva as his divine patron, a theme that recurs consistently across his coinage. The surrounding legend in Latin records his imperial acclamation number, consular iteration, censorial dignity, and the title Pater Patriae.
