Obverse description Laureate bust of Domitian facing right, draped at the shoulder, depicted in the authoritative Imperial style characteristic of the Flavian period. The emperor's portrait shows his head crowned with a laurel wreath, with finely rendered facial features consistent with official court portraiture. The legend encircles the bust, beginning at the lower left and running clockwise around the coin's field. The die-work reflects the accomplished craftsmanship of the Rome mint during Domitian's reign.
