| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Domitian facing right, draped with aegis on the left shoulder, rendered in high relief with strong portraiture characteristic of Flavian die-cutting. The emperor's facial features are firmly modeled with a prominent brow, aquiline nose, and short beard stubble. The legend is disposed around the periphery in well-spaced Latin capitals. The flan shows slight irregularity typical of hand-struck silver coinage of the period. |
