| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Domitian facing right, with finely rendered hair and a laurel wreath crown, the neck truncation clearly defined. The bust is depicted with characteristic Flavian portraiture, showing strong facial features and a slightly prominent jaw. The encircling Latin legend runs continuously around the periphery of the flan, partially obscured at the edges due to the irregular striking of the hammered flan. |
