Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in high relief with fine portraiture characteristic of Flavian die-cutting. The emperor's features are sharply delineated, with the laurel wreath rendered in naturalistic detail. A short aegis or drapery is visible at the base of the neck. The surrounding field is flat and unadorned, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the flan.
