Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Domitian facing right, draped at the shoulder, rendered in the confident portraiture style of the Flavian imperial workshop. The emperor's effigy occupies the central field, with the laurel wreath clearly indicated despite the coin's heavily worn surfaces. The circumferential legend reads IMP CAES DOMITIAN AVG PONT, distributed around the bust in incuse Latin capital letters. The flan is irregular in shape, characteristic of hand-struck hammered coinage of the period, with some areas of encrustation and surface loss consistent with ancient circulation wear.
