| Obverse description | Laureate head of Domitian facing right, portrayed as a young prince with finely rendered curling hair beneath the wreath. The bust is bare or lightly draped at the shoulder, executed in the vigorous Flavian style characteristic of the Rome Mint under Vespasian. A beaded border frames the design, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the field. The portrait conveys youthful authority befitting Domitian's status as Caesar and heir designate. |
