Obverse description Bare-headed, draped bust of Clodius Albinus facing right, portrayed with a distinctive full beard and curly hair rendered in the Antonine sculptural tradition. The effigy conveys a naturalistic, slightly idealized portrait typical of late 2nd-century Roman imperial coinage. The surrounding legend reads D CL SEPT ALBIN CAES, identifying the subject as Decimus Clodius Septimius Albinus in his capacity as Caesar. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, characteristic of hammered silver production of the period.
