Reverse description A large crescent moon occupies the central field, its horns pointing upward, surrounded by five eight-pointed stars arranged in a circular composition around the crescent. In the lower portion of the field, a sixth smaller star appears to the right. Below the crescent, the moneyer's name is inscribed in two lines: P•CLODIVS above and M•F below, identifying the issuing magistrate as Publius Clodius, son of Marcus. The reverse design alludes to celestial symbolism, possibly referencing the iconography of Apollo or Sol worshipped in the late Republic.
