Obverse description Bare head of Germanicus facing right, rendered in the restrained classical portrait style typical of early Imperial coinage. The portrait displays carefully delineated hair rendered in short, layered locks across the crown and temples. The legend encircles the bust, reading from the lower left in crisp Latin capitals. The field is smooth and unadorned, with the flan exhibiting the characteristic irregular edge of hammered silver coinage of the period.
