Obverse description Youthful head of Hercules facing right, wearing the Nemean lion's scalp as a headdress, the paws knotted at the throat, with curling locks visible beneath. The portrait is rendered in a vigorous Hellenistic style consistent with late Republican and early Augustan coinage. The legend arcs around the periphery within a beaded border, partially visible to the left and right of the bust. No secondary attributes appear in the field. The overall die work displays fine engraving characteristic of the skilled moneyers of the Augustan mint.

Reverse description A Parthian warrior kneeling to the right in a submissive posture, extending with his right hand a legionary standard surmounted by an X-marked vexillum, while his left hand is outstretched in a gesture of surrender. The composition commemorates the diplomatic recovery of the Roman standards lost at the Battle of Carrhae (53 BC) and subsequent defeats, a major propaganda achievement of Augustus. The reverse legend encircles the field within a beaded border. The scene is rendered with clarity and political immediacy, typical of Augustan propagandistic coinage. No exergual inscription is present.
