Obverse description Bare-headed laureate bust of Augustus facing right, rendered with refined portraiture characteristic of Augustan coinage. The emperor's hair is depicted in fine, naturalistic strands swept forward across the brow, consistent with official imperial imagery of the period. The legend is divided on either side of the portrait within the field, reading CAESARI on the left and AVGVSTO on the right. The coin's flan is slightly irregular, typical of hammered silver production of the late 1st century BC.

Reverse description A slow quadriga advancing to the right, depicting a four-horse chariot rendered with considerable artistic detail. The horses are shown in a measured processional gait, with the two near horses prominently rendered in high relief and the two off horses visible behind. A figure, likely a Roman standard-bearer or charioteer, is depicted within or alongside the chariot, with an aquila (legionary eagle) visible. The legend S P Q R appears in the field above the quadriga, referencing the authority of the Senate and Roman People as the issuing body.
