Reverse description A triumphal arch rendered in detailed architectural elevation, its central passageway surmounted by an inscribed attic tablet bearing the legend S P Q R / IMP CAE in two lines within the field. The arch is flanked by engaged columns or piers, with additional decorative elements at the sides, and is crowned by a facing quadriga with attendant figures and trophies visible atop the structure. The moneyer's name L VINICIVS appears in the exergue along the lower margin of the coin. The composition reflects Augustan celebratory iconography commemorating military victories and the authority of the Senate and Roman People.
