Reverse description Jupiter Tonans (the Thunderer) depicted standing left within a hexastyle temple set upon three steps, his figure rendered in full divine majesty. The god holds a thunderbolt in his extended right hand and grasps a long sceptre in his left. The architectural frame of the temple features six columns with a pediment above and three visible steps below. The abbreviated legend IOV TON, identifying the dedicatory context to Jupiter Tonans, appears in the field.
