Obverse description Bare laureate head of Augustus facing left, rendered in fine classical style with detailed curling hair arranged in layers beneath a laurel wreath. The portrait exhibits the idealized yet individualized features characteristic of Augustan court portraiture. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered Roman silver coinage of this period. A dotted border is visible along the inner edge of the coin. No legend appears on the obverse.
