Reverse description Frontal facing bust of Saint Paul depicted in high relief, wearing liturgical vestments with elaborate foliate or acanthus-style decorative elements flanking the head. A long sword, the apostle's traditional attribute, is visible to the left of the bust, its blade rendered vertically along the inner field. The design is boldly struck in a primitive Romanesque-Gothic transitional style, with a beaded border encircling the composition and the legend arranged around the periphery.
