Obverse description Central field occupied by a composite heraldic shield displaying the arms of Poland (eagle) and Lithuania (Pahonia, the mounted knight), conjoined and surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is rendered in low relief in the hammered style typical of late 16th-century Lithuanian billon coinage. No surrounding legend is present on this face; the design fills the flan to the beaded border.
Obverse script Latin

Reverse description Central field bears the crowned arms of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania — the Pahonia device (armoured knight on horseback) — enclosed within a heraldic shield surmounted by a royal crown. Flanking the shield are decorative foliate or scroll elements. Around the shield, separated by pellets, appears the abbreviated Latin inscription denoting Stefan Batory's Lithuanian titles, with the legend divided across the field: I · O · above and M · D · L · below, reading Ioannes [Stephanus] Magnus Dux Lithuaniae.
