Obverse description Head of Persephone (or Arethusa) facing left, rendered in fine Syracusan style, with wavy hair bound and wreathed with grain ears, a small dolphin visible behind the neck. The facial features are modeled with exceptional artistic refinement characteristic of the late Syracusan coinage tradition. The encircling legend ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ runs along the periphery of the field.

Reverse description A quadriga driven at full gallop to the right, the charioteer leaning forward and wielding a goad, depicted with dynamic energy above a ground line. A crescent symbol appears in the upper field above the horses. A small circular control mark is visible in the lower right field. The scene is rendered in the vigorous late Syracusan style associated with the magistracy of Hicetas II.
