At the top, two rampant lions flank the Bavarian coat of arms on the left and the Palatinate coat of arms on the right. The multi-line Latin inscription recording the birth and death dates of Prince Regent Luitpold fills the left and right fields around the crucifix. A beaded inner border frames the entire composition near the rim. |
