Reverse description Central figure of the crucified Christ on the cross in high relief, flanked on either side by inscribed text panels. At the top, two rampant lions flank the Bavarian coat of arms on the left and the Palatinate coat of arms on the right. The multi-line Latin inscription recording the birth and death dates of Prince Regent Luitpold fills the left and right fields around the crucifix. A beaded inner border frames the entire composition near the rim.
