| Obverse description | Obverse bearing a tripled-lined Nagari legend arranged in three horizontal registers across the field, executed in a bold and angular script characteristic of the Western Chalukya coinage tradition. The inscription, reading 'Jaya Simha Siddharaja', identifies the issuing ruler and fills the flan in a dense, stylized manner typical of hammered silver dammas of this period. The letters are deeply incused with squared, geometric forms, reflecting the epigraphic conventions of 11th–12th century Gujarat. The irregular flan edge, a hallmark of hammered coinage, frames the legend without a formal border. |
