The goblet mintmark appears prominently at the top of the field. The surrounding Latin legend identifies this as a new silver coin struck at Dieren and concludes with the abbreviated date 77. The overall composition is characteristic of klippe emergency or prestige coinage of the late sixteenth-century Low Countries. |
