| Obverse description | Three heraldic shields arranged side by side occupy the central field: the arms of Deventer at center, flanked by those of Kampen to the left and Zwolle to the right, each surmounted by an ornate lambrequined helm with mantling. The date appears divided in the lower field to either side of the shields. A continuous Latin legend encircles the composition, identifying the three Imperial cities by name. |

| Reverse description | A large crowned double-headed Imperial eagle dominates the field, its two crowned heads facing outward and a single Imperial crown above. A globus cruciger bearing a crowned orb is displayed on the eagle's breast. The wings are rendered with finely detailed feathering in the hammered style. A circular Latin legend surrounds the eagle, giving the full Imperial titulature of Rudolf II as Emperor-Elect of the Romans. |
