Reverse description Panoramic view of the city of Gdańsk (Danzig) as seen from the River Motława, depicting the characteristic skyline of church spires, towers, and municipal buildings rendered in fine detail. Above the cityscape, rays of divine light emanate downward from a Hebrew Tetragrammaton (יהוה) enclosed within an oval cartouche in the upper field, with the numeral 4 flanking it to indicate the denomination. In the lower foreground, the arms of the city of Gdańsk — a crowned shield bearing two crosses — are displayed between the mint master's initials G and R. The circumferential Latin legend reads CIVITAS GEDANENSIS FIERI FEC: 4 EX AURO SOLIDO, meaning 'The City of Gdańsk had this struck from pure gold.'
