| Obverse description | Facing crowned bust of King Enrique IV rendered in a Romanesque style, depicted full-face with a large ornate crown surmounting the head. The royal effigy is shown from the shoulders upward, with stylized drapery visible at the base of the bust, flanked on either side by decorative elements in the field. A Gothic-style letter C, the characteristic initial associated with this type, appears on the king's chest. The surrounding circular legend reads + ENRICVS DEI GRACIA REX, separated from the central device by a plain inner circle. |
