Obverse description Crowned bust of Enrique II facing right, depicted in a stylized Gothic manner within a beaded inner circle. The king wears a crown above his draped shoulders, rendered in low relief characteristic of 14th-century Castilian hammered coinage. The field shows a deliberately pierced hole, a post-minting alteration. The surrounding legend in Latin Gothic characters reads + ENRICVS : REX : LEGIONIS, separated by pellet stops, contained between two concentric beaded borders.
