| Obverse description | Rhombus-shaped medal with a dark oxidized field divided by a copper border into upper and lower triangular sections. The central device depicts a stylized sword overlaid with the Croatian coat of arms (red and white chequered shield in relief with colored enamel), topped by a crowned helmet with flanking crosses, all within a semicircular arc in the colors of the Croatian national flag.
