Obverse description The field is entirely occupied by a seven-line Latin dedicatory inscription in relief, surmounted by a royal crown at the top of the flan. The legend records the homage paid to Francis as King of Hungary, Bohemia, Galicia and Lodomeria and Archduke of Austria, with the date XXV April MDCCXCII. The coin is bordered by a fine dentilated rim.

Reverse description A crowned lion rampant to the left occupies the central field, holding a Patriarchal (double-barred) cross in its raised right paw and resting its left forepaw on a heraldic shield bearing the arms of Bohemia. The curved legend arcs across the upper field, and the whole is enclosed within a dentilated border.
